About Pa Thoy- Plum Blossom Jewelry

Pa Thoy is a talented artisan- and happens to be my great aunt- who lives in Bangkok, Thailand. I’ve never had a “grandmother” before, so connecting with a sweet, crafty woman in my family was really special. She makes stunning beaded jewelry from her shop Plum Blossom Jewelry.

Ever since she was a little girl, she's been inspired by flowers and nature. Pa Thoy has a vision in her mind of a flower she wants to create and knows exactly which beads to use. Her favorite thing to make is a matching floral set like earrings and necklaces together. She has even hosted various types of workshops in the past to teach others how to make their own jewelry. 

Pa Thoy has a wide background from graphic design, teaching, and consulting in many areas. She even taught at the Litladda Rotal School at the Bangkok Royal Palace. She currently works from home, selling handmade crafts online, with the help of her family. When she is not creating jewelry, Pa Thoy spends her time volunteering in the rural villages in Thailand. She teaches villagers how to make jewelry from natural resources such as nuts and twigs so they can make a living from the art they create.
